If anyone is interested in a mass effort with many user groups to work on this section, please let me know (marsee(at)oreilly.com). I work with user group leaders all over the world and have a special program to provide resources from O'Reilly. I can also help build the user group list. We have one at O'Reilly on a wiki too. I have been our dedicated UG contact for almost 5 years now. [1] Marsee 21:29, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think this page should say "user group" and not "user's group". In the comment above by Marsee, the form used is "user" and the same goes for what is listed on the LUG page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_user_group — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.219.153.224 (talk) 09:39, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Duplication[edit]

The section "Computer user group" largely duplicates prior contents of the article. This may be due to a merger, but is pointless. I don't have time right now to fix it, but I believe the contents should be merged with the rest of the article and this section deleted - unless the article discusses specifics of other types up user groups also.
