Needs more sourcing[edit]

There needs to be more added to this article to indicate that the term is used beyond Big Brother. 23skidoo 20:43, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Big Brother Australia: What exactly is the relevance?[edit]

Events in popular-culture lowest-common-denominator television are hardly appropriate for wikipedia articles. I came to this article to find out what the hell a turkey slap was (only to be offended), not what happened on local television in Australia. Why do you think I would care what happened on Big Brother Australia? What is the relevance?

As it turns out a definition for "turkey slap" wouldnt deserve a place in a propper encylopedia. What amazes me is why someone would actually want to bother writing an article about this...and what is the obession with Big Brother? Get a life you depraved dumb arse losers. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.150.81.155 (talk) 11:52, 10 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

An encylopedia can and should include articles on all types of issues as far as there are enough resources that justify the relevance of the topics. And someone uncivilized enough to actually write "depraved dumb arse losers" is by no means eligible to discuss such issues. Evren Güldoğan (talk) 00:20, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"non-sexual way"??[edit]

Quote: The turkey slap draws its name from the resemblance of the male's scrotum to the waddle under a turkey's neck. While the act of hitting another's face with the penis can be a sexual act, the term "turkey slap" refers to the act when performed in a non-sexual way either playfully or to shame, degrade or harass the victim

How on earth can "the act of hitting another's face with the penis" be "non-sexual"?? And if it's intended to "shame, degrade or harass", it's also sexual in a most abhorrent manner. This entry should be strongly editted or removed!

shaming and degrading someone isn't a sexual act. Dakking someone (pantsing) can sometime lead to genital exposure but its not a sexual act. Neither is kicking a mugger in the crotch. Just because it involves genitalia doesn't make it sexual.--ZayZayEM 06:43, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wait i'm confused, as I currently read the article a turkey slap is hitting someone in the face with a turkey. It goes on to say that the waddle looks like a man's scrotum. Was the article misedited? Or am I missing something? I understood mushroom stamping at least was hitting someone in the face with a penis. 98.28.114.217 (talk) 01:15, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merged into teabagging[edit]

Just done.-h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 11:42, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Teabagging and turkey slapping, although being related, does not seem to be the same sexual acts. We might need to re-create the article if there are enough sources justifying a separate article. Otherwise we need to edit the teabagging article to clear out the nuance. Evren Güldoğan (talk) 00:20, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly is the difference between the two

Is the band relevant here[edit]

In what looks like a sneaky back-door move, a band called The Turkey Slap Explosion gets more than a passing mention here. I cannot see any relevance, and the only reference was the band's own FaceBook page. I removed that reference, and there is nothing whatsoever to indicate the band's notability. So the question is - is there any argument to leave that band's publicity information here?--Gronk Oz (talk) 09:39, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
