Past/Notable Presenters (Edit war)[edit]

I have made a few reverts to the article as a result of edits by user 'UK Wiki User'. The edits by said user have deleted a list of names within the article, leaving just one name 'Jonathan Miles (now with BBC Radio Newcastle)'. I do not know if 'UK Wiki User' and 'Jonathan Miles' are the same person. I think the edits need considerable justification as it looks like self promotion to me.

Notwithstanding the above, I have long felt that the list of names is excessive (I did not create the list), but I was reluctant to delete it as it may have some value. Davidbstanley (talk) 21:17, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not Jonathan Miles, but I’m pleased you agree that the list is too much. Previous articles have had presenter lists removed due to the lack of notability. If you/I/we can create articles for presenters listed (if any of them have relevant and sufficient articles) we can add them to the list? UK Wiki User (talk) 21:34, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be better to keep at least some of the names that moved on to other stations, even if they have no specific article. I am thinking the likes of Simon Beale, Jenny Costello and probably a few others.Davidbstanley (talk) 21:43, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Leave it with me and I'll sort out over the coming days when I have some free time. If you can source anything and create the article then we're onto a winner. Regarding Jonathan Miles, I have created a deletion discussion. See here. There appears to be nothing notable about this person, with very little to go by when searching fro sources. UK Wiki User (talk) 21:49, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
One that is notable and that has a page is Roger Day.Davidbstanley (talk) 21:55, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As does Keir Simmons. I'll work thorugh it. UK Wiki User (talk) 21:58, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dickie Davis and Greg Whelan were RTM Radio sports presenters (Getting on for 30 years with Sky Sport) get a mention here Sky Sports.

Simon Beale (Currently overnights on Heart Network) should be on Hearts Wikipedia page as a main presenter and should be included here.
As should John Kennedy, long term incumbent of (XFM) / Radio X (has a mention in their Wikipedia page). Radio X (United Kingdom)
These are the only notable one time RTM Radio presenters that currently have a major presence that I know about. Colinc1000 (talk) 03:48, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
