A later revelation by the Irish Football Association in 2015 has not been included in the article.

In 2015 the Football Association of Ireland has published the full contract of its previously secret deal with Fifa that saw the federation accept €5m (£3.6m) in exchange for ending protests about Ireland’s controversial loss in 2010 World Cup qualification.

The contract was published after the FAI took a barrage of criticism over its decision to abandon public protest in favour of confidential money. It details a series of meetings involving FAI chiefs and the Fifa president, Sepp Blatter, following Ireland’s 2-1 loss on aggregate to France thanks, in part, to a pivotal handball by Thierry Henry that produced the winning goal.

Helo it seems that Henry made 1 game for Juventus in the 1999 UEFA Intertoto Cup before he moved to Arsenal in august that same year. The game i mean is: Saturday 24 July 1999 - Stadio delle Alpi (ITA) (Torino) UEFA Intertoto Cup 1999 - Third Round 84.234.134.192 (talk) 18:39, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Thanks a lot. I've added the missing appearance to the table and found some more incorrect data, relating to Henry's first season with Juventus. Robby.is.on (talk) 19:51, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Cool i also would like to mention that his 13 games and 1 goal in the Play-off for New York Red Bulls is listed under the the League Cup category and not the Other category. Just one question also i noticed that in the Spanish and Italian Wikipedia site they have that i he played 18 or 19 games and made 5 or 6 goals for the Monaco B team in 1994-95 season i have no source for this i just want to know if this is something you know more about and is worth adding if so?

Kind regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.234.134.192 (talk) 04:50, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

MLS playoffs: Thanks, I fixed that, too. I hadn't been familiar with the US league system and mistakenly assumed the "MLS Cup" was a league cup.
Monaco B team appearances are relevant. If we find a reliable source mentioning them, we can add them. Robby.is.on (talk) 09:17, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 27 January 2021-----games for Monaco B team

Helo as mentioned in previous edit request above in terms of games he played for the Monaco B team i have found a source her that says he played 19 games and scored 6 goals for them in the 1994-95 season. The link is here: https://www.national-football-teams.com/player/2420/Thierry_Henry.html so is this something we could add to his statistics? Hope for a reply on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bakermannn (talkcontribs) 12:12, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Good catch, @Bakermannn:. I've the added the season to the article. Thank you! Robby.is.on (talk) 12:58, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Book on Thierry Henry

I was wondering if the article should contain section which mentions Philippe Auclair's book about Thierry Henry named Thierry Henry: Lonely at the Top. The book is an insightful read about the person behind the footballer. The book won the Guardian Sports Books of the Year and is the only well known book about the player.[1]

Thanks for your time in considering this edit 😊

It says Henry has the most goals scored by a french man in a foreign league , but this is incorrect, benzema has over 270 for Real Madrid 86.8.200.248 (talk) 09:06, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

That statement is sourced. Do you have sourcing for your change? Thanks. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:06, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I am contacting you to ask if I can make a modification to your page. With the introduction of the new Premier League Hall of Fame. I believe a valid inclusion to Alan's profile would be for him to have an Honours section below his "Team Managed Section" in his profile which would include his induction in the Hall of Fame, further attributing to his greatness as a Footballer. As a case study in American Sports, the same formula is used on different athletes profiles on their designated Wikipedia Pages if indeed they are selected as Hall of Famers.

Example }} Junefith (talk) 20:46, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

@Junefith: As in the case of Alan Shearer (Talk:Alan Shearer), Henry's inclusion in the Hall of Fame is already listed in the "Honours" section, it's in the "Individual" sub-section. Am I missing something? Robby.is.on (talk) 21:47, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

"and one of the greatest players in the history of the Premier League.""

the (s) is missing in the original text

Premier League Hall of Fame template in Infobox

I removed the line:

| medaltemplates = {{Premier League Hall of Fame}}

from the Infobox for 2 reasons:

1. The "medaltemplates" parameter was a duplicate. You can see this error at the top of the edit screen using "Show preview". When there are more than one of any parm name in a template, only the last one is used; so in this case, the first "medaltemplates" line was ignored & wasn't displayed in the Infobox.
2. The "medaltemplates" parm, as its name suggests, is only for {{Medal}} templates, such as {{Medal|Country|{{fb|FRA}}}}. This is explained in Template:Infobox football biography#Parameters and Template:Medal.

The proper place for {{Premier League Hall of Fame}} is in the "Awards" Navbox at the bottom of the article. I looked at a dozen random members of the {{English Football Hall of Fame}}, which Henry is also in, and that's how they're coded. Davemck (talk) 00:13, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

Thierry and his girlfriend have two children together, not three as stated in the Personal Life section. Tea is his child from his ex-wife, not his girlfriend. This is stated correctly in the first paragraph of his “Personal Life” section, but Tea’s name should be removed in the later paragraph and the number of children with his girlfriend changed from 3 to 2. (He has 3 children total, one named Tea from his first wife and 2 with his girlfriend.) 2600:1700:E4C0:5C50:104C:C064:997A:6E2D (talk) 02:16, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
