Brooklyn Water Works: Eagle description in August 12, 1900[edit]
The Brooklyn Daily Eagle was doing some investigative reporting on the Brooklyn water system; it suspected that the Commmissioner was fabricating all or part of a water shortage. The paper ran a fairly comprehensive description of how Brooklyn got its water, where the reservoirs and holding ponds were, the capacity of connecting pipes and the location and capacity of pumping stations. I imagine some of these details could find their way into this article. Links below, but the type is small. With many details. In past years I briefly visited these locations and others but did not get pictures of the most interesting bits. I ought to return for more leisurely photography in late autumn when foliage obscures less. Jim.henderson (talk) 13:35, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
