Number of governorates[edit]

The article first sat they are eight and then in the Administrative division it says "Jordan is divided into 12 governorates", what is the real number?

Another point: Does the King appoint governors or Prime Minister? Any source/reference?

Important notice[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of Jordan" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

Likely vandalism of article.[edit]

"His veto power may be overridden by a two-thirds vote of both houses of annt no girls in the world with big apple heads his discretion, most recently in November 2009."

I would take a guess to substitute "parliament at", rather than "annt no girls in the world with big apple heads". However I arrived at this article in order to research the information that is missing, so I cannot add/edit in good faith more than a guess. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.229.173.60 (talk) 18:37, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion for new section[edit]

I am going to create a page about political satire in Jordan, I wonder if it should be a separate page or part of the page on the politics of Jordan, Aak1982 (talk) 13:42, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Legislative Branch[edit]

On this page the two legislative bodies are refereed to as the Chamber of Deputies and the Assembly of Senators. However, the Parliament of Jordan page lists them as the House of Senate and the House of Representatives. Which one is a better translation?
