Merging[edit]

I merged Card model and Papercraft here to Paper model.
The old pages are still there behind the redirect. I think their are the same subject under diferent names.
So i think it's a case of:
"If two pages are duplicates or otherwise redundant, one should be merged and redirected to the other, using the most common, or more general page name. This does not require process or formal debate beforehand." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Merging
and of

Removal of links[edit]

It would seem that several users feel there are two many external links. While I don't necessarily disagree just cutting them all out in one go seems extreme. How 'bout removing the worst offenders with a clear reason. Scottanon (talk) 14:49, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

External links section[edit]

This article's external links section had become a mini trade directory, complete with edit wars over whose sites were to be included or excluded. Use of external links sections in this way is not allowed, and a sampling of the links provided showed no significant informational content other than being a collection of links to paper model companies. Accordingly, I've now removed all of the external links.

Please do not simply restore the long list of external links. Instead, please add individual links one by one, and only if strictly justified by their informative content, ensuring that they point to pages with actual informative content on paper modelling, as opposed to simply at the root of a commercial site. All else being equal, hobbyist sites that do not sell paper model products should be preferred to sites that do. -- The Anome (talk) 21:10, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good choice! But the links section is once again being clotted, although many are free model sites, but remember Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not free model link database, I have my own site on free models but that's obviously unsuitable to put in here. The article on papermodels should only include external links that are direct introductions to the hobby, and only free model sites that are REPRESENTATIVE of the mass of resources. That also excludes forum links too. I've included links to Hal and Maly in the text, for they are representative of the armada of the publishing companies out there, for which little was mentioned in the text. --And sites with copyright violation (ie scans of commercial kits. Sr-Fraude / 4ch po channel etc) should at least, not be allowed in the links section. (Am I right on this?) Also edited the tone on making of papermodels, Wikipedia is not a guidebook to how you'll do something. LexWilson (talk) 11:02, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cardboard modeling[edit]

The article on cardboard modeling should be merged into this one. They are basically the same. Grantmidnight (talk) 16:46, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Video Games[edit]

The section on video games was rewritten. If anyone wants to improve it, that would be highly appreciated. Ultima069 (talk) 00:29, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Video Games Section[edit]

I've got a nice link for the video games section, that shows piece by piece how a paper model is done. It's authorized by it's owner to put it in here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m0R9yhYZSQ . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 177.141.62.115 (talk) 20:20, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
