Rename[edit]

The name of this facility will be changed to Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, effective Feb. 19, 2019.[1] On that date the article should be updated and the article title moved. -- MelanieN (talk) 20:02, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As of today, Feb. 20, there are no news announcements and the web page remains unchanged. We should not make the change until it is announced/confirmed. -- MelanieN (talk) 18:38, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Feb 28, Wikipedia's Teahouse received a request from User "NIWC" to implement the Wikipedia article name change. Done. and article revised to reflect replacement of SSC Pacific with NIWCP. David notMD (talk) 23:09, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Funny that there was no announcement or ceremony. But it is a secretive kind of organization by nature. AFAIK their big facility on Pacific Highway doesn't even have a name on it. -- MelanieN (talk) 22:45, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
