Merge[edit]

I merged an article on the victim, Timothy Caughman. He was not independently notable and can be described here. This death is notable but the article needs a lot of work. Fences&Windows 20:31, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Writing improvements in Life section[edit]

Converted quotes to paraphrases.

Todo: photos of Caughman from his Twitter profile.

Excessive citations[edit]

Hurts my soul there. What do we do to condense all of that, because that's overkill. Cyrus the Penner (talk) 18:24, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe not the best word to use.--Rævhuld (talk) 19:37, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Notability[edit]

I do not think that this murder is notable in a Wikipedia article. Or shall we in general create an article for every murder? Horrible what happened, but I don't think it's notable according to Wikipedia:Notability.--Rævhuld (talk) 19:42, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is not an ordinary murder. It was a hate crime against a stranger and yesterday Terrorism charges were added. removing PROD. --Jeremyb (talk) 20:20, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Could use a lot of reworking, but otherwise, the topic does seem notable enough to warrant an article. Cyrus the Penner (talk) 22:17, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Rævhuld: The suspect was charged with terrorism, so it's pretty notable. Not only that, but this is one incident in a long history of racial violence in America. If a failed terrorism plot from back in 2011 has a Wikipedia article, I'm pretty sure that this is okay. Kamalthebest (talk) 22:25, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
