Why is the article locked?[edit]

What is it that the supreme purveyor of 'image' is afraid of?

More generally, as well as being specific to this article, what is the reason that some articles about, presumably, those who are considered by some quaint standard to be of current 'importance' are locked against updating. This would appear to be in direct conflict with the very idea of an encyclopaedia that is editable by the world at large. With apologies to George Orwell: all facts are equal, but some are more equal than others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.181.174.7 (talkcontribs) 23:36, 18 August 2011‎

Max Clifford's last public appearance at his brother Bernard's funeral[edit]

Does anyone know that Max Clifford's last public appearance was when he was let out of prison to attend his brother Bernard's funeral at the North East Surrey Crematorium on 18th August 2014? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.69.56.206 (talk) 08:06, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's covered here but it doesn't say that it was his last public appearance. This may well be true, but it leads to a problem with WP:OR.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 08:10, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think i've found it: [1] It says: "The Ministry of Justice today announced that Clifford (pictured in a prison van as he left his brother's funeral at the North East Surrey Crematorium - his last public appearance) has died". So, can anyone please add this to [2]? That would be much appreciated IMO.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.69.56.206 (talkcontribs) 05:56, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's in the WP:DAILYMAIL so it couldn't be used as a cite. There seems little doubt that this was his last appearance in public, though.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 07:52, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dates[edit]

However, on 2 April 2019 the Court of Appeal rejected his appeal.

He had died in December 2017. Valetude (talk) 22:11, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
