Mountains, catenae, etc., into tables?[edit]

Can someone convert the "bright spot", "mountains", and "catenae" sections into tables? DN-boards1 (talk) 08:53, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Erntedank Planum[edit]

Why this name was changed? --Jugydmort (talk) 20:16, 25 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ysolo[edit]

Apparently a hoax picked up from one of our articles, per a deletion request. — kwami (talk) 03:50, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Before I discuss the hoax, I should mention that the mountain itself is not a hoax. There is a mountain on Ceres named Ysolo Mons. However, the Albanian eggplant harvest festival for which it is named, Ysolo, is a hoax.
In short:
* There is no evidence at all that the festival exists
* Every mention of the festival is traceable back to the one-line mention that was added to List of harvest festivals in 2012
I searched for information about the festival in reliable sources and found no mention of it under that name or any other name in any web, news, or book sources, including Albanian Wikipedia, with the exception of one or two blog articles which were published after the hoax was inserted into the Wikipedia article and which appear to quote from it. The USGS gazetteer page cites a blog post, since deleted, that apparently used the Wikipedia article as a hoax. At the time NASA announced the name, at least one person on Twitter claiming to be Albanian questioned the existence of the festival. A recent discussion in Reddit's “Albania” board has not turned up anyone who seriously claims that the festival exist and several people who claim never to have heard of it.
I brought up the matter at Talk:List_of_harvest_festivals#Ysolo_is_a_hoax, Talk:List_of_hoaxes#Ysolo_.28Albanian_eggplant_festival.29, and Wikipedia_talk:List_of_citogenesis_incidents#Ysolo_Mons.
I have notified the contact at USGS but not yet received a reply.

Update: I just received email from USGS that they agree with my assessment and that they are changing the name of the mountain to Yamor Mons. —Mark Dominus (talk) 17:35, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is Erntedank a hoax too? Or real German Festival? Why name Erntedank Planum was changed? --Jugydmort (talk) 00:08, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
