Brett Kavanaugh and Joe Biden[edit]

Brett Kavanaugh's situation is VASTLY different than that of Joe Biden, and he is WELL justified being in this Wikipedia article. Brett Kavanaugh has not one, but 3 allegations of sexual misconduct levied against him. Not one of those were dismissed, considered invalid, or otherwise, infact, according to "The Education of Kavanaugh" which is an investigative book into Kavanaugh's time at Yale, it's detailed that after the book was compiled, information was sent to the FBI for them to investigate; they did not use any of those references. They were given a list of 25 names, and their relevance to Brett Kavanaugh. All of the people on that list went to school with him, and many shared classes, drinks, and down time with him while in school. None of them were interviewed by the FBI. The FBI actually outright said that they cannot investigate without senate's permission, the Senate at the time was a Republican Majority under Donald Trump, and the allegations were against a person DJT chose for the court himself, making it highly unlikely they'd ever get permission; and they never did. Yale students and even Ramirez's mother (the mother of the accuser) had made complaints and detailed actions at the time in relation to her daughter having been sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh, which led to this information being able to be found in the first place by these journalists.

Also, it's very important to note, unlike what it says in the edit description that LightsandFreedom made, the FBI did NOT exonerate Kavanaugh, they didn't say he didn't do it. They said there wasn't enough evidence (to the Senate at the very end of the hearing when they were already not allowed to submit any of the witnesses, testimonies, or any one of the 4,500 tips related to Kavanaugh's actions), but said that they believe the story and need Senate approval (To everyone else, before they started "attempting" to investigate.)

It's also relevant to this wiki article because of 3 primary reasons; Kavanaugh's career was negatively effected by this (Donald Trump admitted that he basically had to circumvent the system to save Kavanaugh. Quote; "I saved his life. He wouldn’t even be in a law firm. Who would have had him? Nobody. Totally disgraced. Only I saved him.") And the major public allegations came out during his political career, whereas the allegations were made in the past, it was low profile because it was just 2 college students. Kavanaugh didn't just do it one time, he did it an alleged 3 times, to different people. One of those times, that person isn't even coming out themselves and saying it happened, it's another student whom is alleging that he was witness to an action kavanaugh made at a drunken party, the actual victim won't speak to journalists, and instead uses their friend to tell journalists they don't remember. Not that it didn't happen, just that she doesn't remember it happening.

Tara Reade was FULLY investigated, with the support of both parties, and she was given ample time and availability to the witness stand that she could've made a case if there was a case to make. Instead? She; 1. Lied about having a degree. (See 9) 2. Convenient timing, acknowledged by reade, when a statement was made about examining Biden closer by Ryan Grim, she allegedly said "Yep. Timing... Wait for it....tic TOC" This is relevant because her reasoning for these tweets was; "She thought she had a lawyer to tell her story." 3.The person she was replying to above ended up reporting her story. Allegedly he didn't know she said this in reply to his tweet and apparently he didn't talk to her before it. 4. Lied about where the assault took place; as it could not have happened the way she stated without someone seeing, there isn't any hidden area or closet in the place she was talking about, it's just an open room that's usually filled with people. 5. Lied about campaign staffing; many many many many (over 20) of Biden's former workers recount a rule that banned them from campaigning, meaning they wouldn't be at a fundraiser for Biden's campaign. Over 50 alleged they did not remember attending campaign fundraisers for Biden. So where did this "Serving drinks at a campaign fundraiser" allegation come from? 6. Accounts from individuals whom deal with complaints remember exactly none of the complaints that reade alleges to have made; and at one point Joe Biden himself requested that all documents Tara Reade wanted be released (Tara falsely believed the documents were at the University of Delaware, they were not, they were in the possession of the National Archives.) only for the DOJ to tell Biden that they have no obligation to do so. (Biden trying to pour the dirt on himself? Nope, just clearing his name of something that didn't happen.) 7. Accounts from independent journalists, even those staunchly in support of Reade, could not find any copy of her alleged official reports. 8. All of the individuals Reade names from the staffing office do not corroborate her story. Marianne Baker was named directly, and alleged to have been given an official complaint by reade. This complaint doesn't exist, and Marianne Baker doesn't recall ever receiving a complaint from Reade. 9. Falsely claimed to be a Domestic Violence expert 10. This isn't the first time she lied about being a victim, she used to be named Alexandra McCabe, and she would extort money from people by claiming she was a sexual assault survivor down on her luck, she tricked a man into believing she had just divorced her ex husband, and the man was so moved he did extra preparation on a home he was renovating for her to rent. She never paid rent, and destroyed the home. 11. It's REALLY not the first time she's lied in court, or to official government entities, infact she was dipping her toes into the water WELL before allegations against Biden; Reade appeared to Klett in Santa Cruz County asking for a place to stay, same story as last time; she claimed to be a domestic abuse survivor, this time she was studying for law school and to take the bar exam. She graduated from the Seattle university of law in 2004 but she never took the bar exam, yet she is claiming to try to do both in 2018 to Mr.Klett 12.Bragging in 1994 about helping Joe Biden work on the Violence Against Women Act.

Um… could we get the tl;dr version? Dronebogus (talk) 23:21, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh dear. A few months ago, a user tried several times to put the discredited Tara Reade nonsense in the article, which I reverted several times. Their last edit (here) was a bit of a "well if we can't have Biden then we can't have Kavanaugh either!" foot-stomping tantrum that apparently went unnoticed by anyone. The Kavanaugh piece should be restored IMO, as there was no valid reason for removal. Zaathras (talk) 02:37, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
discredited? I think the Larry King live show in 1994 when Tara Reades mother called in saying her daughter worked for a prominent senator that raped her.
And as far as kavanaugh goes, that was just a typical classic case of Borking. It's worn out like the race card. Ford has no credibility whatsoever. Just recently her friend came out and said she was pressured into backing up the fake rape lie.
And Diane Feinstein is currently battling karma for making it harder for legitimate victims of sexual assault to be believed. ✌️😁 2604:CA00:129:9AC7:0:0:664:2194 (talk) 20:21, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
These are the kind of right-wing talking points that Fox News is currently having to pony up $780million to Dominion over. Zaathras (talk) 21:19, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
While to state that Tara Reade's stories have no corroboration is probably an understatement, are the rape allegations against Kavanaugh a federal scandal? The allegations concern his sexual activities as a high school student and as a college student in the 1980s. Kavanaugh was not appointed as a circuit judge until 2006. And that matters why? Rapist back then, rapist now. Don’t want anyone like that in my government whether red or blue. 2601:985:4401:1B60:81A7:6FA0:656B:764 (talk) 14:11, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
