It seems that Russian texts of the articles should be deleted. This is English Wikipedia.Biophys 23:01, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, these are the official titles and make it easier to find the laws. I think it is worth keeping them here insofar as we have such translations for the titles of almost every Russia-related article. Colchicum 12:52, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
O'K if you think so. But this looks ugly, just as long lists in Aeroflot. Biophys 16:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"The heads of the legislative and executive Bodies of the Federal subjects of Russia are replaced with representatives of these bodies as Members of the Federation Council of Russia. " What does it really mean? Biophys 01:57, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, feel free to reword this. Maybe this is unconceivable. As to your changes, it's a good idea to move Russian titles to the notes, but I think that the English titles should remain in the body of the article. Summaries are not enough, especially as there are just underlined key points rather than real summaries in this article. As for Russian texts, the main reason they are here is to allow readers to find the full texts of the laws by themselves. If there is a reliable database where the texts are not updated with amendments, it would be better to replace them with links. Colchicum 16:10, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Question. Why do you show two dates? Is it really important when the law has been proposed? I indicated explanation what each law actually does at the first place, because this is more important for a "normal" reader Biophys 03:28, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, sure, it is very important. Putin used to take decisions after something had happened (Beslan Crisis etc.), and it would hint at his motivations. Colchicum 03:55, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright of the KGB photo[edit]

Vlad, can you explain what is wrong with the copyright status of the KGB photo?

Biophys/Colchium can you explain why out of hundereds Putin photos available at Kremlin.ru the Putin's legislation article should be illustrated by a photo of young Putin in KGB uniform (at that time I would think he had no relations to legislation)?
