Joe's birth first name[edit]

While the article say Joe's first name is "Joseph", I believe this is because Kit mentioned in an interview that he called him "Joseph", but this could be just a term of endearment, rather than his real first name. There is no reliable citation on this neither, unless someone could locate one, I believe the birth name should read "Joe William Locke". Aviator006 (talk) 21:27, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Joseph[1], William[2]. These two sources are in "Early life and education" section. 7szz (talk) 20:16, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Joe being gay[edit]

I have read the citation for this, but it wasn't really clear to me that he actually said that he was gay. EddyZacianLand (talk) 18:03, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The source ([3]) clearly refers to Joe as "a young gay man." I can't see any way they would publish that if he hadn't explicitly told the interviewer he was gay. Aerin17 (tc) 19:09, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am just not sure of the legitimaticly of the source as Joe hasn't mentioned it anywhere else, so it marks it a bit strange that only place would have it. EddyZacianLand (talk) 17:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I went looking through a bunch of other interviews, and you're right, it isn't mentioned in too many places. Maybe odd, but maybe that's just because it wasn't the focus of the interviews. They generally talk about the experience of filming, not the actors' personal lives. I did find one other: "...and growing up gay, he says, wasn’t too big a deal at school" ([4]). I will say again- I can't see why an interviewer would specifically label Joe if he hadn't explicitly said he was gay. Aerin17 (tc) 20:08, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's true, I just know how sensitive they are around that area and I just want to make sure it's factually accurate and especially not outing him. EddyZacianLand (talk) 20:19, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I understand completely, but I still don't see any reason to doubt the factual accuracy of this statement; and given that it was published in more than one interview and he's very open about being a role model to young queer people, I don't see any indication Joe is not comfortable with his sexuality being public. (Side note: please indent your posts on talk pages using colons, as explained here. I've cleaned up the previous posts for you.) Aerin17 (tc) 21:59, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Here you have Joe saying it by himself. 7szz (talk) 08:37, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

'Joe Lycett's Big Pride Party' - add to filmography?[edit]

Joe [Locke] was credited under "Guests" in the credits of the show due to his appearance. Should this be added to his list of Filmography or left out as he was briefly interviewed in the show? B1t3j (talk) 13:42, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's not an example of his work as an actor.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:52, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with @Bbb23, it should only include work that they perform as an actor. Hence, appearance on Celebrity Googlebox should not be considered, as they are not performing per se.Aviator006 (talk) 14:07, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of Agatha: Coven of Chaos to filmography table[edit]

I've requested page protection since the repeated addition of his unknown role in the series before it is confirmed to be filming is against WP:FILMOGRAPHY. —Joeyconnick (talk) 01:07, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
