"He Never Saw It Coming"

I wonder if that's an appropriate comment. I visited his club on Blue Jay Way in October of 2007 on a benefit night for him and the host, Danny Marks, referred to the fact that the childhood cancer that took his sight was active again. Marks relayed a message from Healey that he was hoping for a happy outcome.

I may be overly sensitive, but "he never saw it coming" seems like a poor joke. Jeff Healey was a powerful figure in Canadian music, if not always in the limelight, and to lose him a 41 is pretty sad.

If I'm the only one who's put off, don't change it.

That was just vandalism, which has since been reverted. Adam Bishop (talk) 08:14, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Lots of misconceptions regarding his cancer. He didn't die of lung cancer, he died of metastatic sarcoma (this per the blog on his official site). That sarcoma wasn't a "reactivation" of his bilateral retinoblastoma, but rather likely to be a consequence of his congenital DNA defect that rendered him prone to retinoblastoma & other cancers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.38.82.159 (talk) 09:05, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
