Merger proposal[edit]

@Joe Roe, Masterholtz, Lord Bolingbroke, Rich Farmbrough, Jtbobwaysf, Lopifalko, 4meter4, Greyjoy, SL93, Knox490, BarcrMac, Jtbobwaysf, TPSKaren, Valefebvre, Ottawahitech, and AliceHumphrey: I propose to merge This Week in Startups into Jason Calacanis. I think that the content in the TWIS article can easily be explained in the context of Jason Calacanis, and the Jason Calacanis article is of a reasonable size that the merging of TWIS will not cause any problems as far as article size is concerned. I think WP:MERGEREASON 2, 3, and 4 are all relevant. For instance, there is a large overlap between the host and their podcast, both articles are rather short, and information about the host provides the podcast with greater context. The TWIS article has also been considered for deletion in this AfD, which ended in No Consensus. I was considering opening an AfD because I couldn't find reliable sources that provided in depth coverage of the podcast as an independent entity. Most of the sources I could find would not be considered reliable at WP:RSP such as WP:BI and WP:FORBESCON and the remaining sources I've found are only passing mentions of the podcast. • Yes I agree with the merge. This article and I suspect the other TWIS, are subject of continuous promotional edits. Easier to manage if all in one place. The startups blog article is not notable in itself and is probably leaning on the notability of the author to justify inclusion. Jtbobwaysf (talk) 07:17, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support merge per nom. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 23:28, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
