Concerns regarding unbiased and misleading topic[edit]

This article contains many points at hand that place it in a problematic position of unbiased and, at times, grossly misleading. The main issues are with the general description of the page, and the list of conflicts table. Suggestions for editors:

1) Add a statement placing the Gaza conflict within the framework of the entire Isreal - Palestinian conflict. In addition, throughout the text, the conflict is staged as front of "Israel against Arabs", which is outright wrong and promotes hate speech. For instance - how would you count an Israeli-Arab killed in the conflict? All statements portraying this as an Arab-Israel conflict should be changed to Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

2) Add reference to the Egyptian border control in addition to the Israeli one.

3) Change wording of "Israel has fought 15 wars against the Gaza strip". A nation does not go to war on a region, but rather over political bodies or ethnic groups. In all the listed clashes, the IDF military actions were limited to a confrontation with specific military organizations (defined by Israel, and many other countries, as terror organizations). Perhaps the phrase more fitting will be: "Since 1948, 15 armed conflicts were fought between Israel and Palestinian armed forces in Gaza."

4) The conflict list-table metrics is clearly designed to elicit an biased response from readers, and not to detail the stage of each conflict. Adding columns regarding the military organizations participating in the conflict, the instigator of the conflict, the resolution ending each conflict.

5) Additional issues with the table: - Internal displacement is a non-informative metrics and needs to be removed. When displacement is done to create "empty zones" it is one thing, but when the displacement is temporary to prevent civilian casualties by IDF targeting of militants - it is a different story. - Unify the metrics of casualties to include killed only. - Remove "other impacts" column. It seems to just be a place to "cherry pick" facts or postulations that should be placed in context in the paragraph for each conflict.

The entire page is new - and was formed during the recent 2024 conflict in the region. It seems to be page dedicated to offer an alternative - confrontational - stance to the page informing people on the Israel-Palestinian conflict (detailed in an article of its own). This of its own is problematic and prolongs hate and strife, as many people fall into the traps of rampant disinformation. It would be right to issue a warning on the page, as it is far from delivering information in accordance to Wikipedia philosophy. Walking the Middle Ground (talk) 02:24, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

october 2023[edit]

in the paragraph about October 2023 , there is some missing information:

sacre, 240 people were on the oxtober 7 attackkidnappe if them ost were civilians , the youngest was 8 months old and the oldest more than 80 years old. in the current negotiations between Israel a this war, one of the main issues is the demand for releas of 130 people still held in captivity by also, women who were mn captivity and came back after a "deal" with hammas, report sexual violence on the day of the attack and in the captivity in gaza. imas.ing ohis information causes disinformation. to include the info about the kidnapped does not mean cwithout taking a stand of pro-israel or pro- Palestinvi it is vital to write about the kidnapped civilians as a factor nn the cobflict and as a factor for the ability to reach ( or not reach) an end to this war. Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 24 April 2024[edit]

This entire article solely describes the Palestinian narrative which at best is half truths and totally disregards many facts such as the tens of thousands of rockets that were shot on Israel since 2006 till October 2023, how Israel left Gaza on its own accord and how Hamas which is a renowned terrorist organization came into power supported by Gazans, the multiple Israeli attempts to offer peace confronted with the Hamas charter of death to Jews and much more. People read this as comprehensive truth when it clearly isn’t. This entire topic should be re-edited to reflect the full facts, or stated that it is edited solely according to Hamas narrative.
