Notice on flame wars and archiving[edit]

There have been flame wars in this talk page in the past. They are mostly resolved and have been archived at Talk:History of the Ecuadorian-Peruvian territorial dispute/Flamewar. Readers interested in heated exchanges should use that page. Neurodivergent 14:42, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE: All non-flamewar archives have been consolidated in archive 1. The flamewar archives have been moved to archive 2. AniRaptor2001 (talk) 22:34, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Death Toll[edit]

The death toll estimate for this conflict is quoted at more than 1 million? Can this possibly be correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.20.137.191 (talk) 02:14, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 03:08, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
