Duplicate navbox[edit]

A duplicate navbox has been placed in this article [1]. Can we have an explanation please? Only one navbox is necessary. Is this an infobox manoeuvre by any chance? --Klein zach 12:41, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The navbox was created in response to a concern by Robert.Allen on project opera. It connects the opera to other work by the composer also, is not "duplicate" but broader in scope and in the right position for a navbox. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:47, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adding additional info to the existing box would have been the normal thing to do, not duplicating 90% of it. I have now updated the original navbox and deleted the other one. --Klein zach 13:24, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A poster for the Paris premiere of Jules Massenet's 1910 opera Don Quichotte at the Gaîté-Lyrique. Loosely based on Cervantes' novel Don Quixote, this opera in five acts follows the eponymous knight as he attempts to retrieve a necklace and win the love of the beauty Dulcinée. Don Quichotte → Don Quichotte (opera) – Though "Don Quichotte" is the name of this opera, it is also the translation of "Don Quixote" in French (and perhaps other languages?) and since "Don Quichotte" is very close to "Don Quixote" it is easy to get confused.

Thus it is strange to find information about a relatively obscure opera here and not about the book (this is made worse by having the heading link to a disambiguation page which is still not about the book). So, given the importance of the book relatively to the opera, I would propose to move "Don Quichotte" to "Don Quichotte (opera)" and redirect "Don Quichotte" to "Don Quixote". Oppose – The article was moved from the proposed target to the current name in May 2009 by User:WereSpielChequers. I see no reason to revert that move. Cervantes' novel is the very first term at Don Quixote (disambiguation) and it's mentioned in the first sentence of the second paragraph of this article. That the Quichotte spelling may confuse French readers is not a strong enough reason to disambiguate the title. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 14:34, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - this is completely recognizable to classical music fans, though Don Quixote (disambiguation) does show a few other French Quichottes. Comment – I added a link to the book, which I agree is what a (possibly French) person confused to find the opera article is most likely looking for, to the heading note. This should help a little? /skagedal^talk
Oh dear. We now have an article which begins "Don Quichotte (Don Quixote) is an opera in five acts by Jules Massenet to a French libretto by Henri Caïn" linking to Don Quixote in its second line, - below the words: 'This article is about the opera by Jules Massenet.
