Clarifications[edit]

  1. "consultant" was vague as it doesnt show what he consulted for. Further i removed it based on the new source (needs archiving) that he worked at development banks, which is likely what he "consulted" for.
  2. this removed sourced info. Not sure about how its unclear, but i left the para break.
  3. Also restored the sectioning to differentiate his career path )to show hes a technocrat, one could say) and that , by precedence, we dont put "career" as virtually everything on bio pages are career
  4. blind, unhelpful reverts that introduce such redunancies dont help either: "...appointed as Secretary-General of the Presidency. He was Secretary-General of the Presidency..." as opposed putting a comma and then finishing the sentence(Lihaas (talk) 15:03, 12 December 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
  1. Yeah, it's vague, but it did situate the work chronologically in the context of his career. With your edit, we lost that information.
  2. I don't know what you're talking about. Your version was difficult to understand. I just rewrote it; I didn't remove anything.
  3. I just wanted it to be clear that his background is as a civil servant, not a politician. Everyking (talk) 15:09, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  1. well if you see the work at world bank, etc is listed after his civil service career and prior to his political career. So you admit to delibarelty disrupting to insert vague comments tht mean nothing to readers?
  2. Not saying you removed anything, im just explaining why the sectioning is better instead of lumping it all under 1 (vague) section. EVERYTHING is his career.
  3. "I just want" is all about IDONTLIKEIT. He is not only a civil servant and political figure means nothing. Political figure IS, y defnitiona politican.Ministry of Justive is apolitical position, not a civil servant position to be a minister. Even if unelected.
  4. and you still ahve answerd why you wholly reverted everything including the removal of sourced info WITHOUT REASON.(Lihaas (talk) 15:13, 12 December 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
  1. No. See above.
  2. I don't understand. Can you clarify?
  3. OK, fine. Not a big deal.
  4. What? I explained my reasoning. I certainly don't want any sourced info removed from the article. Everyking (talk) 15:18, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  1. What "no, see above"? no idea what youre talking about. You did say "yes its vague"
  2. The sectioning is better than putting everything under "career" because all parts of the page are about his career. That differentiates the rest of the page (the entire article is his biography/"career")
  3. So i take it the wikilink change is okey with you? Thanks for coming to a reasonable accomodation and ceasing to edit pending this resolution.
  4. the edit in question deals with the removal of his alternative name and age, as well as other aspects of the involvement of Sanogo in the coup. Then the redundancy bit that was reverted and reintroduced. Seems though the consultant bit is sorted?(Lihaas (talk) 16:05, 12 December 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
btw- just saw you created the page in 2009, my bad on the consultant bit too. Just a new update now that more ingfo is available i guess. And probs the same from your side. I understand you wanted to maintain some stuff (and we have), but some stuff would get upated naturally ;)(Lihaas (talk) 16:14, 12 December 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
  1. I explained why I thought the consultancy stuff should be there. I don't "admit to delibarelty disrupting to insert vague comments tht mean nothing to readers", of course.
  2. OK, fine.
  3. OK, fine.
  4. The involvement of Sanogo in the coup can be discussed later on. I couldn't think of a way to state that in the intro while also sounding clear and articulate. If you can, go for it. And of course the alternative name and age can be there, although customarily we would approximate the year (50 years old = "born 1962?") rather than just stating the age (because people get older every year, and then the age will be outdated information). Everyking (talk) 16:20, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  1. my bad on the accusations, sorry. But is that clarified now? The newer banking stuff is added in.
  2. I know about the age, BUT im not sure if his bday is in late dec or over (likely over, but thats synthesis). Though i agree with you.
  3. Im making a change now. See how you like it?(Lihaas (talk) 12:30, 13 December 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
Okey, done. Check it now. I left out the details you said from the lead (though the lead should reflct what is in the article about the perpetrator), see if you can reword it beter. The age stuff seems sorted in the infobox. Not sure hw to phrase it in prose.
If you feel were all set then close/mark this discussion(Lihaas (talk) 12:37, 13 December 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
