I wanted to add that Connor McDavid made the First All-Star Team in 2017 and 2018, rather than just 2017. 199.19.253.106 (talk) 17:15, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Connor McDavid son[edit]

Is Connor McDavid the son of Sabres captain Jack Eichel? If he is, we need source. Kaseng55 (talk) 05:32, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, they are not related. The edit you reverted was vandalism, so thanks for that! PKT(alk) 11:59, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll review this. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 19:43, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Career statistics section is unsourced.
    • Added source.
  • What makes bardown.com a reliable source?
    • Removed, but it was one of several sources, so the information is retained. FWIW, I have two scripts to measure reliable sources, and neither flagged BarDown.
  • What was controversial about McDavid leaving the Express for the Marlboros in 2011?
    • Rewrote per what the source says.
  • What's a "natural hat-trick"?
    • Added an internal link.
  • Not a GA requirement, but there are plenty of duplicate links and some cases where the first instance of a word is not the linked instance. Captain (ice hockey) is linked twice in the lead alone, and point (ice hockey) is linked twice in the first few paragraphs of the body. Sidney Crosby is linked three times in the body. These are just examples; there are more. They should be cleaned up but I won't hold up a GA pass for this.
    • Removed most with the help of a script highlighting duplinks. Until automatically removing them is easier (AWB has its issues in this regard), it's an inevitable devil.

That's everything. The writing is straightforward; the images all are tagged appropriately; and I see no MoS issues that would prevent GA. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 01:44, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

GhostRiver, just checking you are planning to work on this. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 10:59, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mike Christie, I intend to get to it later today! Thank you for the reminder! — GhostRiver 14:48, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, great. I've been holding off on reviewing more of your nominations in case you were too busy to work on them, but should be able to get to some more of yours in the next few days. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 15:08, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Mike Christie I've addressed all points. — GhostRiver 18:31, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fixes look good; passing. Re bardown.com, I wasn't saying it was unreliable, just that I couldn't see evidence that it was reliable -- if you can show it's reliable there's no reason not to use it. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 21:44, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
