Errors[edit]

The text contains many factual errors. Kolakowski was 10 years old when the KPP was dissolved. The majority of the post-war parties declared later they were Socialists or Liberals. The article doesn't discuss the basic problems of Polish Communism - independence of Poland (SDKPiL). Xx236 10:30, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Big C/little c[edit]

Shouldn't this article be called Polish Communism, as it is about parties/party-state (proper nouns) not political philosophy? BobFromBrockley 16:34, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it is about both, fine. My point is that proper nouns have capitals, and Communist as an adjective for the Communist Party is a proper noun and should therefore have a capital. (Whereas communist meaning a world without exploitation and property, which doesn't ahve that much to do with the Communist Party, is not a proper noun and therefore needs no capital. Socialism in Poland[edit]

I think the scope of this article should be expanded. I think it should focus on Polish socialism in general as opposed to being limited to communism. Polish Wikipedia already has such an article. Charles Essie (talk) 18:03, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Charles Essie: Right. I see no problem in expanding to Socialism in Poland, if someone is willing to do that work, and just create again Comunist in Poland if there is enough content to split it out. Note that we would need to be careful with the move and avoid bots "fixing" the links to Communism in Poland, which should probably stay the same. @MarioGom and Charles Essie: (Belated reply to the ping at WT:POLAND which I noticed only now). I assume you mean pl:Socjalizm w Polsce (and yes, there is no pl:Komunizm w Polsce yet...). I think that clearly, socialism in Poland article should be created - but it is not the same as communism in Poland. Those are related, but not identical movements (ideologies).
