Father a civil engineer. Art Institute, Chicago, IL 3 yrs. Went to work at age of 9; migratory hotel worker 1905-17. Ed. The Labor Defender, 1918; The Rebel Worker, 1919- 20; The Industrial Unionist, 1922; contributed series of drawings of labor leaders to The Labor Age, 1924; publicity work for gen. defense comt. 1917-8.
