Fair use rationale for Image:BPMS Bronco.gif[edit]

Image:BPMS Bronco.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Larson[edit]

That's just sad. There is a Boulan article, which is larger than the TSD article, but no other middle schools. That should be added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.238.25.226 (talk) 23:52, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unencyclopedic[edit]

Do people need to know what the course loads for the different grades are, especially in such detail? Plus, it varies greatly by student, and is not unique to Boulan Park; it's standard across all four Troy middle schools. This article looks like so many other school articles I've sifted through: the victim of an overzealous student who forgets that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a promotion page. Please kids, if you really want to document every detail of your campus life in exquisite detail, then you should write for the school newspaper and/or program its website. But this stuff doesn't belong here. Please see this section of What Wikipedia Is Not, as well as the guidelines on WikiProject: Schools.
In general, this article needs complete re-structuring. It's debatable whether this school merits an article at all (elementary and middle schools generally should not get articles unless they're famous - what makes Boulan so special that it should be the only Troy middle school to have its own article?) and I'm considering nominating it for deletion. I AM definitely tagging it for a re-write. I don't even know where to begin editing here. Beggarsbanquet (talk) 06:49, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did decide to improve it by getting rid of the completely superfluous Courses section as well as some unnecessary details in the Music section. (Note: Information on courses should only be added if schools have a nontraditional curriculum, such as honors/accelerated/IB, arts- or science-focused, "alternative," etc. As Boulan is a traditional public middle school, it doesn't need a courses section. Names of faculty members or coaches should not be added unless they are very notable in their fields, and that usually is only present at the university level.) Nominated for deletion[edit]

In accordance with what I said above, this article has been nominated for deletion for being non-notable. Beggarsbanquet (talk) 07:50, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible merger[edit]

It was suggested during the old debate for deletion that this page be merged into Troy School District (Michigan)#Middle schools. Boulan Park doesn't really meet the notability guidelines for an article of its own, and there's no reason why it merits an article over Smith and Baker. If others agree, I will change this page to a redirect to the TSD page. Beggarsbanquet (talk) 21:10, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
