Referencing needed to get this on the Main page[edit]

I have nominated Bob Jane's death for a mention on Wikipedia's Main page. You can see the nomination at Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates#RD: Bob Jane. As you will see there, the nomination has already been opposed because this article is allegedly "Very sparsely referenced at present". Like probably every other Australian, I have heard of Bob Jane, but I am not a motor sports enthusiast, so I am not the ideal person to be hunting up sourcing. (I only added this article to my Watchlist today!)

So this needs work from the enthusiasts. I particularly ask those who have edited following his death - User:Marchino61, User:WWGB, User: Canley, User:Rosalina2427, User:Stopatnothing1 and User:Oronsay. Get in there with the sourcing. It's damn near impossible to get Australian items up at ITN (the masses who work there haven't heard of our heroes), but I keep trying. I hope some of you folks can help too please. To anyone who ever gets around to reading this, it didn't happen. Almost no improvement was made to the article. It didn't make it onto In The News. I find this very sad. It makes Australia's editing community look incompetent. HiLo48 (talk) 00:27, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
