This article was unwieldy, so I split out the song and album parts into their own articles; now it parallels the way that USA for Africa, "We Are the World", and We Are the World are structured. Wasted Time R 03:00, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Artists United Against Genocide?[edit]

I'm just wondering whether those Artists are also going to have a say about the current high rates of murder in South Africa, the corruption and persecution of dissidents in South Africa. These farm murdersactually border on genocide. Since 1994 things went silent around the country. Nobody seems to be interested into the results of the Artists "moral outrage", but then these "liberals" were also very silent about repression in Communist-run countries. --41.242.216.57 18:01, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

These same people have no problem with the persecution and oppression of Palestinians, the lack of women's rights in countries like Saudi Arabia, the oppression of the Kurds and Christian minorities in Turkey, slavery still being widespread in West Africa....

Half of American radio stations played the song?[edit]

The article currently says: Only about half of American radio stations played "Sun City" ...

I suspect it was much less than half. How many stations in the U.S. had formats such as country, easy listening, news, religious, and classical? Quite a few, but probably no stations in those formats would have played the song at all. Maybe only about half the stations that the single had been promoted to played the song -- but without a source, I don't know what the truth is. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:49, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
