Tables[edit]

Hey, good job on the article. I noticed you created a lot of articles on politics in Ukraine such as electoral districts. I was thinking to do it as well. It is a lot of work though... DDima, I just wanted to comment on the following table to make some minor changes to it.

Office MP Vote Since Party
Chairman Volodymyr Groysman 359–0–3 November 27, 2014 Petro Poroshenko Bloc
First Deputy Chairman Andriy Parubiy 313–23–4 December 2, 2014 People's Front
Deputy Chairman Oksana Syroyid Self Reliance
Faction leader(s) Yuriy Lutsenko November 27, 2014 Petro Poroshenko Bloc
Oleksandr Turchynov People's Front
Yuriy Boyko Opposition Bloc
Oleh Bereziuk Self Reliance
Oleh Lyashko Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko
Yulia Tymoshenko All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland"
Group leader(s) Ihor Yeremeyev People's Will
Vitaliy Khomutynnik Economic Development

I wanted to point out the fact that the chair person and his or her deputies are unaffiliated members of parliament. There is sort of double affiliation for members of parliament one as part of parliamentary faction and another as the actual party. You see, parliamentary faction may include members not necessarily affiliated with its respective party. If you look at the party lists of parliamentary parties some deputies are not members of the party, but rather non-partisan. So, briefly may be we could change the table in the following way.

Office MP Vote Since Party
Chairman Volodymyr Groysman 359–0–3 November 27, 2014 Petro Poroshenko Bloc
First Deputy Chairman Andriy Parubiy 313–23–4= December 2, 2014 People's Front
Deputy Chairman Oksana Syroyid Self Reliance
Faction leader(s) Yuriy Lutsenko November 27, 2014 Petro Poroshenko Bloc
Oleksandr Turchynov People's Front
Yuriy Boyko Opposition Bloc
Oleh Bereziuk Self Reliance
Oleh Lyashko Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko
Yulia Tymoshenko All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland"
Group leader(s) Ihor Yeremeyev Non-partisan
Vitaliy Khomutynnik Non-partisan

This way it shows that the listed MPs are not part of parliamentary factions being chairperson and his (her) deputies, yet still keeping their membership with the actual parties. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 21:23, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The changes would be consisted with the following diagram. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 21:26, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Location of parliamentary factions in the 8th Verkhovna Rada:
Poroshenko Bloc
People's Front
Opposition Bloc
Self Reliance
Radical Party
People's Will
Fatherland
Economic Development
– Unaffiliated
Also, please note that People's Will is not an actual party. It only exists in the Ukrainian parliament. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 21:28, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Aleksandr Grigoryev, thanks! I don't even know how I got started on doing the articles on electoral districts.. But all of a sudden, then there were two! I think I will only do a few more (perhaps in key Ukrainian electoral districts--Kiev for instance). But I noticed that many such articles exist on electoral districts in the United States, so it would be nice to have such articles about Ukraine as well..
Anyways, I like the color change you made next to the "leadership" portion of the table since they are unaffiliated deputies. However, I still think it is important that the reader is aware what parliamentary group Yeremeyev and Khomutynnik belog to (since their groups are still officially registered groups of parliament).
Perhaps instead of the entire column saying "Party" it should be changed to something along the lines of "Parliamentary affiliation" which is neutral yet quite descriptive of both political party factions in parliament and the (non-party) parliamentary groups. DDima, how is that? I think it looks just right. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 06:36, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Office MP Vote Since Parliamentary affiliation
Chairman Volodymyr Groysman 359–0-3 November 27, 2014 Non-affiliated
