A bunch of edits tried to get the lede to say it's aliens. I think wiki has a duty to the public to protect this article and the alaska shootdown article from randos trying to wish-cast aliens into what is probably not aliens Stuffmaster1000 (talk) 05:51, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Those aren't randos, they're human beings, probably not aliens. A few of them are mildly trollish and refuse to provide reliable sources, but that goes for every current news event. We pick out the bad apples, one by one, until we are overwhelmed or until the mainstream media spills the beans. Until then, "we", the public encyclopedia, can't risk losing a good contributor who just doesn't want to make an account or sign in. InedibleHulk (talk) 06:06, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List article[edit]

As there is a merge note on this article; I will note that other than the other articles, there is now a list article at List of high-altitude object events in 2023 -- 65.92.244.151 (talk) 04:57, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
