Glickenhaus car in the WEC 2023 calendar teaser[edit]

the problem is, aside from Glickenhaus being on the calendar teaser and being mentioned by the FIA, we don't actually know in what way they'll be represented. We don't know if there are customer teams or not, and haven't had any confirmation if they're running one car themselves again. So basically, we don't know enough about their effort to add them to the hypercar entries.

Isotta Fraschini Hypercar[edit]

A new Hypercar has been announced! Here are some details:

"Type" column[edit]

I propose adding a Type column in the Hypercars table, given that two different types of racecar will compete in the same class. However these edits were removed without comment. -- BouncyCactus (talk) 14:28, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It serves no real purpose for the championship as they are all in the same class. In 2022 alone we had LMH, LMH Hybrid, and grandfathered LMP1 cars all competing, but there was no distinction made for that. The359 (Talk) 17:34, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because hybrid power was originally included with the engine configuration as it was a performance statistic, but was separated so that the engine column covers just the ICE. As hybrid no longer boosts performance in the LMH era, it could be removed, especially since all but one car is hybrid-powered. What more discussion is there? It definitely should be added. It's even talked about in the article: "It is the first season in which LMDh (Le Mans Daytona h) entries will be allowed to compete in the Hypercar category for championship points alongside LMH (Le Mans Hypercar) entries, after being permitted on a race-by-race basis in 2022.[1]" but it isn't defined in the entries.

They have no bearing on the championship and would simply be information for the sake of adding information. They all conform to the Hypercar class rules. Last season we had LMH and LMP1 cars coexisting in the Hypercar class, and we've had a past of IMSA running DPs alongside LMP2s and even a Deltawing that conformed to no rules all running under the Prototype class. Even now, the technical regulations of hybrid LMH and non-hybrid LMH are different, but the distinction is not made because of the different rulesets, but because it is part of the powertrain listed in the articld. But in the end all these various technical regulations mixed together ran in the same class for their time, meaning we need no distinction because this is the Hypercar championship, not an LMH or LMDh championship. You have yet to explain what value this adds to the article regarding the championship. What engine is in each car is more valuable to the knowledge of the season than what ruleset each car was built to. Again, having information does not mean that it is necessary to add it. Engine is less relevant than than the ruleset. Power is limited by the bop so it doesn't matter what engine makes required power. Manufacturers in GT?[edit]

GTE Entries[edit]

Graham Goodwin has written an article telling about the - possible - GTE Am entries. Since I am new I don't dare to edit anything in this Wikipedia yet. Would you guys be willing to do that? Some drivers not appearing in official standings documents[edit]

Even though Franck Mailleux scored championship points at the Spa 6H, he does not appear in the post-Le Mans standings document since he drove the No. 709 Glickenhaus, which is not a full-season entry. This is the same for Ryan Hardwick and Zacharie Robichon in GTE Am. Hardwick and Robichon drove the No. 16 Proton Competition (not a full-season entry) for Le Mans and do not appear in the GTE Am standings document, even though they scored points in Portimão and Spa. The #3 Cadillac is not an entrant in the FIA World Endurance Championship. They did not file nor were granted a full-season entry. Although they participated in a WEC event, they are not considered part of the series championships and are ignored in all allocation of points. Possibly it could be added with a note reflecting that...? This fact isn't mentioned on the LeMans race dedicated page, or the Season Report section talking about the other races on this page (it also competed at Spa).
