Fulserish , a merger discussion here is unnecessary; there should only be one, per [1]. David O. Johnson (talk) 02:14, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate colors[edit]

I understand that green is the official LDP color, but seeing that each candidate's color is just a variant of green, maybe it would be best to have them be represented by other colors (excluding green) so that its easier to differentiate them. Just like the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries did for each candidate. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 14:11, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it would make the candidates easier to distinguish if other colors are used. Basil the Bat Lord (talk) 03:16, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This would be a good idea. Assuming that the LDP releases information on which prefectures voted for which candidates, it could be very useful for differentiation on a map. Fulserish (talk) 03:18, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Supposedly the Akita LDP chapter has already decided to not hold a vote and cast its delegates for Suga: https://www.asahi.com/articles/ASN946RPWN94ULZU00F.html Basil the Bat Lord (talk) 14:15, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Basil the Bat Lord: & @Fulserish:: I think we should use navy blue for Ishiba because the Tottori flag has navy blue, Kishida should be red because Hiroshima's flag contains a dark red and Suga could be a golden yellow. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 10:48, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think that these colors make sense. Although matching the colors with the flags of the prefectures they are from is strange to me, it isn't a bad idea. --Fulserish (talk) 20:59, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TDKR Chicago 101: & @Fulserish: I think we should remove the map unless someone's planning on filling in. I'm not even sure how would be best to display a map considering that the prefectures have three delegates, all of whom can and some did vote for multiple candidates. Basil the Bat Lord (talk) 03:57, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Basil the Bat Lord: I think it would be best to remove the map until there's one filled in with the respective candidate colors. Also is there a way to adjust the polling graph's colors so that the colors depicted on the graph corresponds with the colors of the candidates such as Suga gold, Kishida red and Ishiba blue? --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 10:40, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Election results[edit]

@Basil the Bat Lord, could you please add a reference as to where you had found the full election results? Otherwise, it just seems like it was some random numbers thrown together. --Fulserish (talk) 16:27, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Fulserish  Done Basil the Bat Lord (talk) 01:02, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Basil the Bat Lord, I don't actually see any reference to where the prefectural votes went in your source mentioned on the results table. Surely you have another source for this. --Fulserish (talk) 23:42, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Fulserish My bad, I actually didn't add the prefectural votes to the article. Found and added a Japanese source with them. Basil the Bat Lord (talk) 02:54, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
