Incorrect information[edit]

There was no damage done to any enrichment site, the targeted facility was a centrifuge assembly center.

Needs English clean-up very badly[edit]

the writing/spelling is off in virtually every other sentence — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.111.48.53 (talk) 15:45, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Connected[edit]

According to reliable sources, are these explosions connected? If not, then this article would need to be listified otherwise it would be WP:SYNTH. If reliable sources feel there is a connection, then the current article is appropriate.VR talk 21:12, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If there's speculation in RS and reports of speculation by notable people/organizations in RS, is that sufficient? Not that Wikipedia deals in idle speculation but there's nothing idle about this; if you search Google news for "iran explosions" you'll see that it (the connection) is seriously considered.
I mean it's not us (Wikipedians) doing the SYNTHing. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 07:42, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I meant. That first BBC source is good because they are doing the SYNTHing. I guess for any new explosion to be included in the article, it should have been connected to the topic of 2020 explosions in general by a reliable source?VR talk 13:38, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Any that happen in the future should be included if they're major explosions which happen in Iran this year. Jim Michael (talk) 16:11, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Jim Michael should we include a major future explosion in Iran in, say, December 2020 even if no RS connect the December 2020 explosion to the current string of explosions? I would think "no".VR talk 20:57, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Include any major future explosions in Iran this year unless there's an indication that they're separate - which is what we've been doing so far. As it is, RS say that the explosions are likely related, so we should add any that occur later this year because it's also likely that they'd be linked to those already in the article. Jim Michael (talk) 22:16, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Only in the wildest fantasy would these constant series of explosions be 'coincidence' - which is why the news media is regarding them as linked in some fashion.50.111.26.72 (talk) 22:31, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There are two fantasy worlds beside Iran called Iraq and Afghanistan where things explode for all sorts of wacky reasons almost every day, various sources, various results. InedibleHulk (talk) 21:42, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Jim Michael and Vice regent:: The article is currently listing incidents which are common in occurring in 2020. There are allegations regarding the Natanz and Parchin explosions, but what the hell do Mashhad, Ahvaz and Bushehr explosions have to do with these incidents? With no clear connections by the sources, this page should be converted into the list of the incidents. --Mhhossein talk 14:25, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree we need a reliable source connecting every explosion with the others to include in this page. Barring that, listifying would be the better option.VR talk 14:33, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The article doesn't say that all the explosions are linked. Jim Michael (talk) 21:11, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't need to say it, it just does it, as a collection chained together chronologically. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:26, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's why this collection of events should be listified! --Mhhossein talk 13:45, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That wouldn't remove the implication that they're connected. Jim Michael (talk) 18:03, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Aye, let's blow it up. In a destructive way, I mean. Let the news worry about inflation, speculation and conflation with conflagrations. InedibleHulk (talk) 19:18, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I believe making it a list is some sort of standing in the safe side. The current title is conveying a wrong impression that there are some special 2020 incidents. The current page is just organizing some information hence a list would be a far better choice. --Mhhossein talk 15:12, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What would you title that list to keep it safe from this idea that 2020 itself makes these recent obscure Iranian explosions special? InedibleHulk (talk) 19:55, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I believe reliable sources tie these explosions together and are covering explosions in Iran with a heightened interest due to plausible connections. Vici Vidi (talk) 06:13, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The reality of the sources are against your belief unless you can show us how those sources are making ties. --Mhhossein talk 13:21, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
InedibleHulk: It should be moved to "List of ..." . --Mhhossein talk 13:23, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect information: the explosion never took place in Parchin[edit]

Commercial satellite imagery has shown that the explosion did not take place in Parchin but in Khojir:
