Change Home Signal to Distant Signal[edit]

The home signal on the fast line opposite the distant signal on the slow line should be changed to a distant signal. Tabletop 12:15, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Terminology[edit]

The diagram refers to the "slow" line while its caption refers to the "relief" line. The diagram and caption refer to "catch" points while according to Wikipedia's article on the subject the correct term is "trap" points, and I've just added a mention of them under that name to the main text. (However, this page claims that "catch points" is "traditional p.w." usage for both types, and it seems to me I've seen that myself in some sources.)

Diagram[edit]

Afaik the GWR used to drive on the right track, as railways in the US or Germany, and that's why the drivers position was on the right side (again as in the US or Germany). So the diagram looks to be mirrored. (London is also shown to be to the west, although it is, of course, to the east). If I'm wrong, this should be made more clear in the article.
