- 05:5005:50, 13 November 2019 diff hist +14 President of Bolivia ''Acting president'' (e.g. Gabriela Montaño) is NOT A HEAD OF STATE in his/her own right. It is someone who takes over limited responsibility just to keep the country running while the President is not physically present or is seriously ill. The President is still the president during this time and HE/SHE IS FORMALLY STILL IN CHARGE. On the other hand ''Interim President'' (e.g. Lidia Gueiler) IS A HEAD OF STATE IN HER OWN RIGHT because the presidency IS VACANT. Do not equate these to cases.
- 05:4605:46, 13 November 2019 diff hist +232 President of Bolivia To preempt any well-meaning but incorrect future edits to the list of female heads of state I will once again note that only Gueiler Tejada and Anez are FORMALLY heads of state in their own right (Interim President is the title used for Gueiler and President is used for Anez). All other women (e.g. Gabriela Montaño) were NOT leaders in their own right, but were ACTING FOR A SERVING PRESIDENT, who was unable to act on his own behalf, but was very much STILL PRESIDENT in all legal/ formal terms.
- 05:3605:36, 13 November 2019 diff hist +13 Conservative wave ''Elected'' is not the right word since some of the leaders (e.g. Temer, Anez) ascended to office by constitutional succession rather than direct or indirect election.

- 05:2005:20, 13 November 2019 diff hist −1,053 President of Bolivia It's now official that Anez is President. The Constitutional court has formally ruled that "Given that the inheritance of power occurs as a result of a request for resignation (by Morales himself) ... no legislative act or decision of Congress is required (for Anez to assume office)".
