Where are the tools?[edit]

Where are the tools available to the Wikipedia editors? I think I know the answer, but this page should provide the answer in a prominent place.--DThomsen8 (talk) 18:07, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I keep getting error messages when I click on links that previously took me to stat pages. Liz Read! Talk! 21:49, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Broken[edit]

Every time I try using something on labs it is either broken or so slow to load that it smight as well be broken. For instance xtools' user statistics frequently fails to load on first attempt. This tool used to work fine when it was on toolserver. Labs should be a great boon to us, instead it is a pain and getting in the way of actually achieving anything. Table of Toolserver tools now replaced by WMFlabs tools[edit]

Considering that we all keep clicking toolserver links and getting "Sorry...", it might be a good idea to expand and transclude the following table to Wikipedia:Toolserver and Wikipedia:Wikimedia Labs:

Tool down[edit]

The refill tool is down so I can not format the references. Please fix. [1].--BabbaQ (talk) 17:53, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

With a choice of three outputs ...[edit]

I've managed to get some kml info to input, to show, and now there is a three line select box at the top of a page.
Corowa railway line - OSM opens, looks correct, Google opens a small box in the top left corner of something, that won't scale and is the wrong place, and Bing just opens on my home location.
Is this the right place ? Is this an error ? Am I missing something ?
If I open one of the Geo links at Corowa railway line#Railway line coords that go to GeoHack, the Wikipedia articles section also shows a line for all entries on this page in Google or Bing, these two also just my home location. Dave Rave (talk) 08:48, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The three links that Template:GeoGroup is providing are linked to three different Tool Labs tools:
The best place to find help would probably be by contacting the maintainers of these tools directly and/or looking for other community support on Template_talk:GeoGroup. The contact tool may help you figure out how to contact the various tool maintainers. --BDavis (WMF) (talk) 18:12, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I found what was causing the Google map problem, informed the maintainer of the wp-world Tool Labs page (Kolossos), and he has fixed it. Try the Google map links again :) Yeryry (talk) 23:04, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Technical Advice IRC meeting[edit]

We'd like to invite you to the weekly Technical Advice IRC meeting. The next one is tomorrow, Wednesday 3-4 pm UTC on #wikimedia-tech.

The Technical Advice IRC meeting is open for all volunteer developers, topics and questions. This can be anything from "how to get started" over "who would be the best contact for X" to specific questions on your project.

If you know already what you would like to discuss or ask, please add your topic to the page. -- Michael Schönitzer (WMDE) (talk) 12:37, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Toolforge stats issue[edit]

Is there a central place on enwiki to provide feedback regarding toolforge? Page views for a long page name fails. See this fix which was made because the page title was 228 characters long. Jay (talk) 07:51, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jay: This page views tool works for me, are you maybe trying to use some other tool? There isn't a central place to collect issues for all tools as most tool maintainers prefer different methods. Majavah (talk!) 10:00, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the link you gave works for me too. So the problem may be with the link generation at WP:RFD. Jay (talk) 11:44, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jay, meta:Talk:Pageviews Analysis is linked from the footer of the pageviews tool as the suggested "report an issue" location. There is also a Phabricator project for the tool. -- BDavis (WMF) (talk) 15:09, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
