This seems to be a single-purpose account, created to promote a book ( Astroth, Alexander (2019). Mass Suicides on Saipan and Tinian, 1944: An Examination of the Civilian Deaths in Historical Context. McFarland & Company. p. 126. ISBN 1476674566.). The account was created two days ago, has made over 200 edits, all with the single common attribute of adding the above book as a reference. Often the additions to the article are not useful, such as at Oceania. It's a fact, it's referenced, but it's not appropriate for that context.

I haven't done anything yet, I don't have the tools to revert 200+ edits. If someone sanity checks my conclusion, I'll go through the effort of reverting the edits manually. Tarl N. (discuss) 18:54, 30 June 2019 (UTC)

Repeated advertisement of DVD on a wikipage

Hi, I have just removed blatant advertisement for a DVD on the Hans Scharff article. The offending user 2601:246:4a80:e90:21ca:6a9b:9af6:dfd5 (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • blacklist hits • AbuseLog • what links to user page • COIBot • Spamcheck • count • block log • x-wiki • Edit filter search • WHOIS • robtex.com • Google) restored the advertisement I had previously removed and added even more references to it. I don't know who originally placed the advertisement there. I have also removed identical efforts by that user on Stalag Luft III and Gabby Gabreski. Thonatas (talk) 13:20, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
