Flare-up of activity lately. [1][2][3] etc.

Cookie-cutter blog-style content scraper. Being used in some cases, like here, to entice readers to watch an upcoming film's trailer, or, as is more typical, as a wedged in reference. It had a good run of a few days at the 88th Academy Awards. Clever! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:34, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

  • Comment - Looks like most of the spam is coming from the country of Oman, from the city of Muscat. At least it's cat spam with a built-in sense of humor. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:55, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

This has been popping up lately, typically in the form of citation spam like here. Cookie-cutter blog/scraper. It has the usual sloppy logo style that we see in so many of these pop-ups. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:47, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

Yet another cookie-cutter blog that's dug its tentacles into Wikipedia. As of this note there are 84 links throughout English Wikipedia mainspace, although some are duplicates, and a few are drafts and such. Comments? I don't see this site being different from the standard fare. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:51, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Opened WP:COIN#Punjabigrooves.com (permlink). This seems to be largely the work of a single editor and a handful of IPs. - Brianhe (talk) 11:59, 6 March 2016 (UTC)

It looks like this site has been methodically added to several car articles by various single-use IPs in the last 1-2 weeks. The site looks spammy (no author, no credentials, no "About" info of any significant detail), it's probably someone trying to popularize their own website (usually with a 87.16x.x.x IP). But frankly I am no expert on car topics - could someone more experienced check the site and its recent addition patterns to Wikipedia please? GermanJoe (talk) 12:34, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

I agree. That's spam. MER-C 12:04, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
Done cleanup. @MER-C:, please blacklist. I also double-checked with Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles to be on the safe side: only 1 editor responded so far, agreeing that it's not reliable. Regardless, the editing pattern is a clear case of citation spamming. GermanJoe (talk) 15:01, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

Wialon - blatant advertisement

Linked article is blatant advertisement and lacking notability: Wialon

This editor is personally connected to the advertised company:

Hi, I don't understand the templates but am asking for the external links and references at the above article to be checked out as I believe there is a great deal of spam. I tried deleting it but was quickly reverted. Thanks, Atlantic306 (talk) 04:13, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Technics Publications Spam

Countryfan1985 advertising Carrie Underwood concert tour
