Fanliyang1112 has been inserting links to popular-music-video.com on various song articles.[1][2][3][4]

I first saw some spam sites coming from Tuncayoco who I am about to block. Oynayim.com was submitted to one article by 78.170.52.97 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). 88.251.233.1 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) submitted yenibarbioyunu.com. And so on. One IP editor, while reverting these changes, noted that "oyun" is the Turkish word for "game". I've found a number of these links at the article Oyun (which is also a region in Nigeria. These sites are all Flash web game sites of no encyclopedic value. While I don't see these links at the project, they might be worth blocking, at the very least the Oyunturu.net one, since that's the one Tuncayoco has been spamming since April. Particular spam pattern

Recently, I have noticed a particular pattern of spamming: An account with a non-gibberish, person-like name and number creates an user sandbox with a piped or non-piped spam link, which varies with every account. They make no other edits. Is this a common spam pattern or suspicious of sock/meatpuppetry? Some pages I've seen are User:Fertilekudos54s/sandbox, User:Maddeningdiva21/sandbox, User:Gabbybevy55x/sandbox, User:Slowpan58/sandbox, User:Successfulcage7/sandbox and User:Ronniemorris8474/sandbox. It's already been fixed, now a link to archive.org.

ptlb.in

Links to this webpage have been introduced parallel to perry4law.org links (now blacklisted) in India-related cyber security topics. Those links are typically embedded in vaguely related "expert analysis" (more like vague speculation and WP:OR) and added by IPs with only 2-3 edits. PTLB stands for "Perry4Law's Techno Legal Base", the sites are clearly connected. This sister site needs blacklisting as well.

An anonymous user (or users), using varying IPv6 address, has been adding this website to various articles associated with Ethiopian cuisine and Eritrean cuisine. The website consists of links to video recipes on YouTube, but the editor is adding them in the context of inline citations (generally where a citation already exists) and the videos don't really serve the purpose or corroborating the text. In some cases it is going into the "External links" section. Whether intended or not, the net effect is spammy. The other issue is that they are linking to the website's main page, as there doesn't seem to be a way to link to the individual recipes (other than, I guess, simply linking directly to YouTube, which itself would probably raise an eyebrow). For now I'm reverting these as I see them (keeping an eye on Special:RecentChangesLinked/List_of_Ethiopian_dishes_and_foods). I don't think there's much I can do in terms of notifying the editor(s), because the IP address keeps changing. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 17:41, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
