I have removed a number of entries that may be classics but that are not, at least to my way of thinking, "classical." None of the associated articles carries the Project Classical Music banner. Here's the list:

Needing Verification

Clean up

NPOV

That last is a Bollywood film. I left another, Pyaasa, on the "verification" list, as it carries the Project Classical Music banner. At first I didn't see why, but now, upon another review, I note that its score was the work of Sachin Dev Burman, whom further reading reveals to have been trained in the Indian classical music tradition. His son composed the score for Angoor. Does that connection qualify these entries as Project Classical Music fare? If so, then Angoor should go back on the list. If not, then Pyaasa should come off, and the banner should come off its article.

I think this was a case where a Bot was scanning category trees for the maintenance tags and some non-classical articles were being listed due to categorization issues. Indeed, the Bollywood film traces back cat-wise to "Compositions by composer" due to the score of the film. In exchange for the weekly bot-scan, we were willing to deal with a few odd entries on the list. The bot is not running anymore though. DavidRF 19:04, 12 September 2007
Relâche does not seem to be laden by POV problems anymore. I will remove the NPOV note. Dogru144 11:55, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bot isn't running anymore[edit]

I guess the bot is not running anymore. I wonder why. DavidRF 19:02, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where is "Articles in need of creation"?[edit]

Where is the "Articles in need of creation" section? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 03:45, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removing articles from list[edit]

I don't know how to edit the lists, but VW's 9th and The Planets have been rewritten - the latter is a now a GA - and the required references and much else added to the article on Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. I think they can and should be removed from the lists. Tim riley talk 07:01, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and removed those ones, and a few others that are in good shape now. The list seems to be pretty out of date anyways—it was bot generated, but the bot stopped a few years ago. Aza24 (talk) 08:05, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I looked at a few of the articles and found them to be coherent and as well documented as most articles I've seen in Wikipedia. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if these are just holdovers from the Bot. I'm a big fan of classical music and am willing to do research and help with articles. Some sort of guidance on the kind of clean up to look for would be useful and instructions for removing them from the list of articles needing cleanup would be good.Mike32065 (talk) 14:51, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
