Tagging for WP Death
And finding a range of death categories that have mysteriously had biography added by a now blocked user - as at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_talk:Cardiovascular_disease_deaths_by_country - anyone object if I remove the Biography tag at 'death' items - they do not seem appropriate in the way that I understand tagging. Any feedback appreciated

Sorry about delay in response:- The blocked user had added biography tags on various disease death categories - but only a few - whether by extension - is it then that all death categories then follow as potential biography items as well? But if the death project now exists - is that sufficient to have Death tags rather than biography?

- I would say that any category intended to include biographies would fall within the Biography project. Where the two projects overlap it is likely that you will see duplicated tags; however the Biography project wouldn't normally stray into the articles on death processes (brain death, decomposition) or death customs (funerals, cremations) so only the Death tag would be seen there. Can someone take a look at the history of this biography? It seems a right mess. I don't have any books on me at the moment so I'm not sure if the footballer, the composer that was previously written about, or both are a hoax, although I don't remember a player by this name ever playing for Watford. - I don't know about the football player but the composer seems genuine. However the article appears to be a direct translation of the composer's biography on an Italian website. I have flagged it for consideration as a possible copyright violation (I would have flagged it for speedy deletion but am unsure whether the act of translation voids the copyright). Don Watt's Obituary
I was interested to read Wiki's version of Don Watt's life and compare it to the Toronto Stars Obit as below especially of interest is the comment about the Canadian flag

The article on Kathryn Leigh Scott states that she was born Marlene Kringstad on January 26, 1943. I was wondering what the source material for this was.
Two of the sources cited in the article, Memory Alpha and IMDB.com both give her date of birth as January 26, 1945. However, in her book My Scrapbook Memories of Dark Shadows, Ms. Scott tells of the time that she wanted to join Fidel Castro's revolution when she was 16. Maurice Rostand
Hello. I just happened to check this bio and saw where Maurice Rostand died in 1968. I was the au pair to the grandson of Jean Rostand's cook and gardener. I lived with them in the attic of Jean Rostand's house in 1971. I remembered being warned that when I returned home late at night I had to be very careful because M. Maurice tended to roam the property at night with his pistol. He seemed to think his brother Jean was in danger from someone and was protecting him. I was terrified he would accidentally shoot me. I would call out: "C'est moi, M. Maurice!" I barely knew him, but I'm pretty sure he was alive. I think he lived nearby. (Jean Rostand lived at 29, rue de St. Cloud, Ville d'Avray). Article deleted
I have just deleted Richard W. Schneider as it was a blatant copyright violation of [1]. After removing all the copyright violated text there was nothing left of any value. However, looking at the website it was copied from, it appears that he is notable enough for an article. If anyone would like to recreate the page from scratch, please feel free! Stephen! Harry Hughes managed (owned?) a sports shop at the bottom end of Guildford High Street for an unknown period around 1969-70. He later moved to manage the Tottenham Hotspurs sports shop, duration again unknown.

Marnie Weber and Party Boys
The Marnie Weber page is linked to a band she was in called Party Boys. The link goes to a page describing a band named Party Boys but it is the wrong band. I guess there were two bands called Party Boys. The one Marnie was an LA band and I guess they dont have a wiki page but they should. The Party Boys (LA) released three LPs in the 80s. They were described as:

Biographical information; pedigree; family history and descendants
I'm very interested in family history information related to the pedigree and descendants of James Clark Ross and Sir John Ross. I know there is a book "Polar Explorers" that includes some of this, and there are people actively researching family connections to the Ross family. I'd like to see information amalgamated in a "Ross-wiki-genealogy". (a) is there already such a forum? How to title an event that is linked to a person so it is not a biography
I think there is some overall confusion in how Wikipedia deals with events which are linked to a person who is not famous in their own right. As an example I'm struggling with the title for a page I created on Munir Hussain and victims' rights. If someone is famous or infamous in their own right, such as J. K. Rowling or Papa Doc Duvalier, then a biographical entry of them is clearly the right way to go. However Munir Hussain is not famous in this way and, in my view, anything which is not relevant to the burglary and retaliation should not be in this Wikipedia entry.
OTOH if it is an event that is notable, such as the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, then the entry should be about the event and titled as such. But the event concerning Munir Hussain was about a burglary in High Wycombe, and clearly 2008 High Wycombe burglary is not a good title :)
I think the title as chosen: Munir Hussain and victims' rights, balances identifying the event, which people primarily identify or "google" through Munir Hussain, and signalling that it is not a biographical entry about Mr. Hussain.
The inconsistency in titling is ironically shown on Munir Hussain's page with the link to the main entry on Tony Martin (farmer), which looks like it should be a biographical entry about Tony Martin whilst it is really all about his violent response to burglars on his property and the consequences.
So should the title be Munir Hussain and victims' rights, signalling that it is not a biographical entry, or Munir Hussain (businessman) to be consistent with Tony Martin (farmer)?

Place/country of birth
I couldn't find the respective information in the project page, but maybe there is a WP policy out there someone of you knows about.
I stumbled across the issue in the article on Rudi Dutschke. His place of birth is Schoenefeld, the small city where former East Berlin's airport is located. And here we are: Dutschke was born in 1940. At this point in time "East Germany", which is given as his country of birth, did not exist yet. The official name of Germany was "Deutschen Reich" then (until 1943 when briefly switched to Grossdeutsches Reich). In 1949 Deutsche Demokratische Republik (GDR) - informally called East Germany in by people in West Germany - was founded. Dutschke lived in GDR until 1961, moved to Berlin (West), and later to the UK and Denmark, where he died in 1979. GDR ceased to exist in 1990. So East Germany neither was in existence when he was born, nor is it in existence now - and is a colloquial expression, anyway.
So my question is: Are there conventions on the country of birth if countries change?

I recently edited Langstroth's biography. Most of the changes I made were grammatical. About the only major change I made to actual content was to state that Langstroth was popularly believed to be the discoverer of the bee space, when in fact the bee space was already in use in Europe. Begelman material
Some of these events are put in such a confusing way that the timeline seems out of kilter. We know that Robertson touched off a series of investigations into the shady world of Begelman in the 1970s. And that Begelman's account books were also investigated by Garland's people. However, the conclusion of it could not have affected her since Garland had already been dead since 1969.
