Thoughts[edit]

I think that there's a consensus at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2014 February 18 that editors don't want any kind of blanket rule about unopposed AfD nominations.—S Marshall T/C 11:40, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Would you write that up and put it in the essay?--Paul McDonald (talk) 13:52, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If I did that, I would end up completely transforming the essay to read very differently. The "nutshell", first and second paragraphs would be amended to say that while a "delete" close is an option, it isn't mandatory and the closer should use their judgment... this seems to make the essay a bit pointless. Is it better to leave the essay as-is, as a record/summary of your thoughts and opinions?—S Marshall T/C 21:15, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe so. But I'm never opposed to an "opposition" opinion. That's how consensus can get formed and changed.--Paul McDonald (talk) 21:41, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
