Frequency of updates[edit]

How often is this list updated? Is it done automatically, on a whim, or on request? Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing); Andy's talk; Andy's edits 14:17, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was being updated every couple of days but it appears as though it may have been decided to not update it further which really is quite a pity as this information was a good gage of article activity. 83.202.81.12 (talk) 14:37, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So it would seem. A Pity. Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing); Andy's talk; Andy's edits 16:13, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It now gets updated twice a year (April 21, and october 21). Bawolff (talk) 23:17, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If it's only updated twice a year, it's not very useful. Due to templates being switched to Lua, and other editing of meta-templates, transclusion counts can change significantly in that time. Once a month would be better, or perhaps once every two months if that's hard on the servers. — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 00:55, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Note that today's update was a one-off so that the changes in gerrit:137967 would take effect. Also, part of the reason this normally only goes once every 6 months is that the query takes over an hour to run. Jackmcbarn (talk) 02:24, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
