Jean-Michel Basquiat[edit]

I'm adding Jean-Michel Basquiat to the list of births. He was born on December 22, 1960.

Reform and opening up[edit]

I've replaced Mr Itō with a reference to China's economic reforms. It's the 30th anniversary this year and it's mentioned anywhere else in selected anniversaries. The reforms have had a major influence on today's world. Although it's not a holiday, it will be covered ad nauseam in Chinese media. --Matt's talk 05:32, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, the bolded article History of the People's Republic of China (1976–1989) is currently tagged with {{Refimprove}}. Since there are only 5-6 listed at a time, and if the article is not cleanup by 22 December or another article is bolded, it might be the first to get replaced if there is another suggestion. Cheers. I noticed that you just added citation tags on the obvious alternative articles for bolding. I'm glad that this edit spurred you to take an interest in Chinese history... I'll set you some exam questions tomorrow if you like :-) --Matt's talk 06:36, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I re-added Yule, that article appears to be in good shape. As for Yaldā, not 100% clear if this would belong more for 21DEC or 22DEC this year. — xaosflux Talk 06:07, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I ended up taking them all out because winter solstice was ineligible, and I couldn't figure out a way to it work without that article (seems weird to mention summer solstice without winter). howcheng {chat} 18:58, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
