Too quick to allege disruption at DRV

Newyorkbrad, MBisanz, User_talk:MZMcBride#Dominic_McDevitt-Parks, User_talk:Pigsonthewing, please don't threaten blocks or talk of "abuse of process" for filing a DRV. Consider the Chilling effect (law) on the observers. DRV is a well-watched, robust, mature place, and one of the most effective places for correcting and ensuring correct administrative behaviour, and it is not OK to make it look scary. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 06:25, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

  • Absolutely agree with Smokey. We also have a robust mechanism for avoiding abusive nominations -& and a zero tolerance of personal attacks. Spartaz Humbug! 12:42, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

History-only undeletion

Why are people instructed to come here for history-only undeletion? It seems to be a basic and non-controversial process; either the current page is good enough that the admin should restore the old content, or it's not. May we dump history-only from the purview of DRV and officially shift it to WP:REFUND? Yes, there will be deleted content that is bad enough that it shouldn't be restored for a good new article, but those are comparable to things that the REFUND admins handle frequently, such as spam, copyvios, and good A7-candidate biographies. DRV is a place where we should discuss potentially bad closures; housekeeping undeletion such as history-only belongs at REFUND. I'll leave a note at the REFUND talk. • Support. I think this is a loose end that should have been tied at the time when WP:REFUND was created. -- King of ♠ 05:53, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Support I admit that I have not used DRV for this, but just done it at a refund request, or unilaterly if an article is successfully recreated. We do have to make sure that what is returned is on the same topic, as well as not doing copyvio, attack or advert. A7 delete history on the same topic could well be safe to be in the history. • Does this proposal include history-only undeletion under redirects? Flatscan (talk) 04:27, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Could someone provide example DRVs and REFUNDs? I found several relevant REFUNDs filed by User:Dolovis on hockey player articles; the majority were deleted via PROD, which is already in REFUND's scope. Flatscan (talk) 04:27, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Support - I don't see any problem with this. JohnCD (talk) 21:48, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
