Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies

I'd like to re-open the question of the deletion of this page. Speaking as an alumnus of UTIAS, who has retained a long-term connection with the organization (teaching there as an adjunct professor),the reviewers failed to appreciate that UTIAS is one of Canada's premier engineering research organizations, in many ways on par with the world's top aerospace engineering labs at MIT, CalTech and Stanford (with which UTIAS is frequently compared). On a much smaller scale, of course, Canada not being the USA. But almost all of the top aerospace engineering researchers in Canada gained their graduate degrees at UTIAS, including many who have gone on to make important contributions to aviation and space engineering in Canada and abroad.

The original UTIAS wiki page did not make that as it clear as it might have done. Improvement is needed, but deletion is an over-reaction, I contend.

If there's a way to reinstate that page, I'll have a go at improving its content, particularly to highlight UTIAS' notability. Please let me know if that's possible.

In particular, has the most recent version of that page been archived somewhere, to use as a starting point? I had put quite a lot of effort into some of the content of that, and it would be much better if I didn't have to recreate all that content from scratch.
