Factual errors in Standoff at Eagle Pass[edit]

This page has several factual errors and false assertions. First, the migrants found drowned died on the Mexico side off the river and washed up on the bouys. Governor Abbot’s actions did not cause their deaths as this article insinuates. Second, the US Border Patrol is not simply patrolling the area. They are actively removing or cutting the razor wire and other obstacles Gov Abbott has put in place to prevent the invasion which he declared. Third, Gov Abbott is not defying the US Supreme Court order by continuing to replace the razor wire. The Court’s opinion simply stated that the Federal government may cut the wire, but did not state that Texas may not place wire. This article should remain, but document facts accurately, which it currently does not do. 2605:59C8:40B3:5B10:39C1:E8A6:D713:76 (talk) 02:03, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
