Parks of Quito[edit]
There existed two pages describing the same parc. To prevent such situation, let's decide if we use English or Spanish names. Xx236 (talk) 11:28, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- By using the park infobox both the native name and the name in English should be used. With regards to the title of the article it should probably be the name in spanish.

Review of Simón Bolívar at GAN underway, expect FAC soon[edit]
Countrymen~! I have news. After a year of labor, Simón Bolívar is finally undergoing a review at GAN on its road to FAC. At either process (or preferably both) I would appreciate eyes, ears, and commentary. I am aiming to at least be in the process of FAC by 24 July 2023, if not to have TFA by then. 17 December 2023 is my fallback goal, and more likely. Women in Green's 5th Edit-a-thon[edit]
Hello WikiProject Ecuador:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2023!
Running from October 1 to 31, 2023, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

Higher Education in Ecuador[edit]
The deletion of the article on Universidad Del Pacífico – Ecuador , along with the removal of several articles about other universities in Ecuador, raises concerns about Systemic bias within Wikipedia's coverage, particularly regarding higher education institutions in underrepresented regions.
The format which I used for creating the article in 2009 followed the same standards as other institutions of higher education in Ecuador. However, the subsequent deletion of many of these articles has resulted in a significant gap in Wikipedia's coverage of Ecuadorian universities, contributing to the afor mentioned systemic bias. To address this issue, I fully support propose for the WikiProject Ecuador to suggest a review of the deletions for all university articles in Ecuador and advocate for their restoration. This would help mitigate the systemic bias within Wikipedia's coverage and ensure a more comprehensive representation of higher education institutions in Ecuador for English-speaking users.
By reinstating these articles and working collaboratively to improve their quality and sourcing, we can promote inclusivity and diversity within Wikipedia's content, aligning with the platform's core principles of neutrality and accessibility to knowledge. I encourage the WikiProject Ecuador to take proactive steps in advocating for the restoration of university articles in Ecuador and actively contribute to addressing systemic bias within Wikipedia's coverage. Project Importance Scale Required[edit]
On the project page ther is no Project importance Scale. I suggest we work together in creating a Project importance scale for the Ecuador project. As an example I am attaching the importance scale for the Retail Project

Starting this July, we will see a new contest on the scene - the Developing Countries WikiContest (WP:DCWC)! Think of it as a WikiCup but only for articles and media on developing countries.
Competitors may submit GAs, GTs, FAs, FTs, FLs, FPs, and DYK and ITN entries from/on developing countries to gain points and proceed to further rounds. Points are also awarded to those who review GAs, FAs and FLs.
Ecuador is listed as a developing country for the purposes of this contest, so articles related to it are eligible to be submitted to the contest. I encourage everyone here to sign up and compete with editors from around the world to create high-quality content!
