Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's History/Templates

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The templates on this page are specific to the WikiProject Women's History. Any new ones should be added to Category:WikiProject Women's History templates so they can be found easily.

Project banner[edit]

The most important template used by the project is the article talk page banner, {{WikiProject Women's History}}. This adds the article to the project and provides a way to track its quality and version 1.0 team importance. You can add the banner yourself to any women's history-related article. To do this, add the following below the last project banner (if any):

{{WikiProject Women's History|class=|importance=}}

or

{{WikiProject Women's History|class=|importance=}}

The result should look like this:

WikiProject iconWomen's History NA‑class

Invitations[edit]

Template:WPWH Invite can be used to issue personal invitations to users who you think might be interested in joining this project. (Perhaps you've noticed their work on an article we care about, or they list women's/gender history as interests on their user page.)

To invite someone using it, put the following on their talk page:

{{subst:WPWH Invite}}

When you save your edits, the Wikipedia software will substitute the template text into their talk page permanently, as if you had typed it all out, with their username substituted appropriately. (Be sure to sign your invitation!)

Project Navigation[edit]

The templates that make our project navigation sidebars are:

  • {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's History/nav}} (view) (edit) is the sidebar that appears on all project pages.
  • {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's History/Navigation}) (view) (edit) is the sidebar that appears on the main project page.

To use this award paste the following template with your own message on the userpage: {{subst:Ada Lovelace Award|put your message here ~~~~}}
