I've expanded the impact section (the article previously ignored some rather extensive damage on Long Island) and converted all the citations, and replaced most of the references with official NHC/NWS sources. I don't know. A class is generally reserved for articles that could pass as an FAC. While it could, I would like to see some impact pictures and overall info before upping it to an A. Personally, I don't think this should be an A class, because it shouldn't be an FA. I'll admit, I'm on the boat that FA's should be reserved for articles which have significant amounts of information, preferably over 15 kb. Yes, I am aware that this condradicts with existing FA's. Forget that. Here's a few things that can be done for A class; preparations section, aftermath section, more intro, cite web formatting, more impact if possible. I personally love loads of impact; the more the better in my book. Hurricanehink (talk) 02:24, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've expanded the intro paragraph and added a couple of sentences about Stormfury, since the intro is essentially a summary of the rest of the article. I also added some areas to the "areas affected" section, as some key areas (e.g., Long Island) were left out. I'll switch the references to cite web formatting later today. I'll also see what I can do about preparations (there's plenty of info about that in the report), but I'm not sure how much more impact can be added.
