This IP rarely edits wikipedia, but when it does it is usually in AFD discussions around crimes in which User:BabbaQ has participated. The IP always votes the same way. I think this is BabbaQ not signing in on person to vote stack the various AFD discussions. The relevant AFDs are Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Schenecker double homicide, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jordan Brown (accused murderer), and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daniel Hernandez (intern). I would like to request a checkuser on this. 4meter4 (talk) 07:29, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a look at the IP address and its contributions and compared them to those of BabbaQ. It's unfortunate that the IP has participated in some of the same AfDs, with the same vote. However, the evidence is seemingly very limited. I think this is a simple knee-jerk reaction from 4meter4 following discussions on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Schenecker double homicide. BabbaQ has participated in many, many AfDs, and this IP has only appeared in 3 of those cases. Is that enough to accuse someone of sockpuppetry? The other articles the IP has edited are also articles BabbaQ has nothing to do with. Orphan Wiki 12:49, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really see enough evidence of avoiding scrutiny or creating the illusion of support. Three AfDs over the course of a month-ish isn't a very large sample size. TNXMan 19:24, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

JustinSpringer (talk · contribs) was blocked on 14 April for sockpuppetry. HelloKitta began editing on 17 April. Before being blocked, JustinSpringer had made edits to BRICS and India-related articles; HelloKitta has also taken an interest in BRICS and India-related articles. HelloKitta has found WP:ITNC, where JustinSpringer had edited quite a lot (getting into a very heated dispute), and T:TDYK very early on in xyr editing career, suggesting this is an editor who is familiar with these areas of Wikipedia. Given the timing of the block/new account and editing patterns, I suspect this is the same editor. Strange Passerby (talkcont) 13:40, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
