Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 March 21

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is there a way of removing the "unreviewed article" tag at the top of the page? If someone is able to review it or remove the tag that would be a huge help. Thanks.

Please review & get back to me. Could not find all the sources I needed, but can add more later. Not familiar with the html codes or format, so hopefully someone can help me with that. Thanks in advance,

I reformatted your External links so you can see how to do it. You still need to add descriptions. You need references to reliable sources to establish your subject's "notability" (see Wikipedia:Notability (people)), so I put the References section back in. For how to do references see Wikipedia:Citing sources. For how to mark up your edits see Wikipedia:Cheatsheet. For formatting your article generally, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (layout). Just completed and moved this article - many sources have been cited. Looking for feedback and review.

I suggest calling the list of the author's books "Works". This should be a bulleted list. Instead of footnoting every item in that section, you can include the reference/bibliographic material at that point. The "References" section should generally contain only the "reliable sources" cited in the body of your article. Boldface for "winner" etc. seems a bit promotional to me. I was a bit surprised that the article, nominally about the author, contained little more than a list of works. Is there no more information? Tkotc (talk) 18:54, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou for those comments I have the low hanging fruit from my research which is the "Works". More detail on the person is forthcoming which will flesh out the article and I will incorporate your suggestions with much thanks. --EireOz (talk) 01:23, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello could someone please review and if favourable remove the new article template. Of course all feedback is most welcome. --EireOz (talk) 00:39, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Have made some edits to this article (about an academic), based on feedback from various folks here, and would like to confirm that it meets notability guidelines. thanks!

Greetings, reviewed and no major heartburn. Added WikiProject Yorkshire tag to Discussion. The main issues:
  • The statistics in the lede; some are clearly footnoted, others no. Can you tweak that?
  • The article is pretty heavily reliant on the Tourism Board's publications; can you augment with less-involved reliable sources?

This page is a new unreviewed article. I would greatly appreciate having it reviewed so that I can move on to having the template removed. Additionally, I need help in formatting this biography of a deceased surgeon/writer/editor-in-chief. Thank you! Glazed Terracotta (talk) 12:30, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I am having a problem with a category: American film actors. Instead of listing Antony Alda, Wikipedia lists my user name where his name should be. Please advise.

Thanks.

Please review my new article. I'm confident I have enough reliable sources. The education section is somewhat short, but I hope it's good enough for a start.

Article about a non-profit school for girls from low-income families. Would appreciate a second set of eyes and hopefully an approval, since this is my first article. Thanks for looking!

What can I do to improve this article, apart from adding more information? What are some ideas of places I can link to this page from?

Mrichlen (talk) 20:19, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've written my first article about the event. Hope, it's neutral and has enough sources. Can you help with going live?
